Are your services really equally accessible to all students at your institution, or are there hidden, systemic barriers to serving some student populations, despite best intentions? Join us at SFU’s Surrey campus to explore together how we can best reach, attract, and serve the needs of the full range of students on our campuses.
Call for Proposals
We would love to hear about what you are doing at your institution to reach and serve the needs of diverse student populations – international students, Indigenous students, mature students, the LGBTQ+ population, students with disabilities, students studying at a distance, or others. Or have you discovered barriers to access that you would like to explore with your colleagues? We welcome proposals to lead a session of any type – from a formal presentation about a program you are offering, to leading a very preliminary and fledgling discussion about an issue. We are flexible as to the length and format of the session – just let us know what you are thinking. Please send your proposal, including a session description of approximately 250 words, to Ruth Silverman, email@example.com by Thursday, November 15.
Registration is now open, and can be accessed by clicking the register tab to your left, at a cost of:
